Wyoming was exactly what I needed: time away with friends, to sleep, read, roam, etc. The trip started with a visit to the Wild Horse Sanctuary in Rock Springs.
I know they call this “Big Sky Country.” There simply aren’t words eloquent enough to describe the magnificence of this landscape. The horizon goes forever. The rolling hills in shades of semi-precious stones: opal, topaz, and amber. And then night falls. The campfire burns bright keeping the smokey drifts of hungry mosquitoes temporarily at bay. The sky comes to life. Like someone threw handfuls of diamonds on a piece of thick black velvet.
It is just too good to be true.
